Cancellations Policy

At Burntune, "cancellation" means one specific thing — a student choosing to end their enrolment or subscription and close their connection with Burntune as a platform. It does not refer to missing or rescheduling an individual session. This policy explains what cancellation means, how it works, and what happens on both sides when it occurs.

What Cancellation Means at Burntune

Burntune makes an important distinction between two things that students sometimes use interchangeably:

What Can Be Cancelled

A student may initiate a cancellation for either of the following:

Cancellation of a programme enrolment or subscription does not automatically entitle the student to a refund. Refund eligibility is governed entirely by our Refund Policy, which should be read alongside this document.

Effect on Access After Cancellation

Upon cancellation of a programme enrolment or subscription, your access to Burntune's platform, content, sessions, and community will continue until the end of your current programme period or billing cycle. Access is not cut off immediately upon a cancellation request.

What this means in practice

If you cancel mid-programme, you retain full access to all sessions, recordings, and materials until the programme's scheduled end date. You will not be charged beyond the current period. No partial refund is issued for the remaining time unless separately approved under the Refund Policy.

For subscription plans, cancellation stops all future billing from the next cycle. Your access remains active through the period you have already paid for.

Once the programme period or billing cycle concludes following a cancellation, all access — including community access, session recordings, and course materials — will be removed.

Session Dismissals & Rescheduling

Missing or being unable to attend a scheduled session is referred to at Burntune as dismissing a session — it is not a cancellation of your programme.

Burntune understands that life happens. Rescheduling is always available. If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, please notify us as early as possible through any of the contact channels listed in Section 8 so that we can arrange an alternative time.

Please be aware that dismissing sessions without communication or rescheduling — particularly in a mentorship programme — may affect your eligibility for a refund under our Refund Policy, as attendance is a condition of the refund window. It is always in your interest to stay in communication with the Burntune team rather than going silent.

How to Cancel

To initiate a cancellation of your programme enrolment or subscription, please contact Burntune directly through any of the following channels:

Please include your full name, the programme or subscription you wish to cancel, and your reason for cancellation. While a reason is not mandatory, it helps us understand your situation and, where appropriate, offer alternatives such as a programme pause or reschedule before a full cancellation is processed.

A cancellation is only confirmed once Burntune acknowledges it in writing. A verbal request, missed session, or period of inactivity does not constitute a formal cancellation and will not stop future billing on a subscription plan.

Subscription Cancellation & Billing

For students on a recurring monthly subscription, the following applies:

We strongly recommend raising your cancellation request at least 3 business days before your next billing date to allow adequate processing time.

Cancellations Initiated by Burntune

Burntune reserves the right to cancel a student's enrolment or subscription at any time, at its sole discretion, under any of the following circumstances:

Where Burntune initiates a cancellation due to misconduct or a Terms and Conditions violation, no refund will be issued and the decision is final. In other circumstances, Burntune will make reasonable efforts to communicate with the student before taking action, and any applicable refund consideration will be handled in accordance with our Refund Policy.

Re-Enrolment After Cancellation

A student who has previously cancelled their enrolment or subscription may apply to re-enrol with Burntune in the future. Re-enrolment is not automatic and is subject to Burntune's discretion.

Burntune will consider re-enrolment requests on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the circumstances of the original cancellation, the student's history with the programme, and current availability. Students who were cancelled by Burntune due to misconduct or Terms and Conditions violations may be permanently excluded from future enrolment.

Burntune-Cancelled Sessions or Programmes

In the unlikely event that Burntune cancels a scheduled session, enrolled students will be notified as promptly as possible and a replacement session will be arranged at the earliest available opportunity.

In the rare circumstance that Burntune discontinues an entire programme after enrolments have been confirmed, affected students will be contacted directly and a fair resolution — which may include a full or pro-rated refund — will be offered at Burntune's discretion. Burntune is committed to acting in good faith in any such situation.
